Terna, the Italian national transmission grid (NTG) operator, is actively engaged in the process of ecological transition and — as director of the electricity system and enabler of the Twin Transition (energy transition and digital innovation) — has the task of developing a grid capable of managing the ever-increasing integration of renewables and enabling the progressive decarbonisation of the system, while constantly balancing energy produced and consumed.

Terna is seeking a graduate for the role of Line Project Engineer in the Local Installation unit of its Cagliari facility, within the Sardinia Transmission District.
Main Activities
- Feasibility studies, draft and detailed plans for interventions on overhead and underground power lines;
- In the case of appointments to external professionals, document verification, contract management, and specification of basic design requirements.Drafting of technical supply and contract specifications.
- Preparation of estimates and estimated metric calculations, uploading and management of data in the system.
- Preliminary project evaluation and cost estimate.
- Preparation of the procurement plan and management of requests for materials and services.
- Preparation of plans for the start of authorisation procedures.
- Management of dialogue with the local area and external bodies for the managed activities.
- Management and monitoring of the economic/technical progress of projects.
Necessary requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Some experience in the field of design and technical studies will also be considered an advantage
- English language skills
- Knowledge of Office, AutoCAD and Project software
