Innovation Specialist

Terna, the Italian transmission system operator (TSO), is committed to the ecological transition process. We play a leading role in managing the electrical system and enable the energy transition, Terna is tasked with developing a network capable of managing an increasingly better integration of renewables and enabling the progressive decarbonization of the system, while ensuring the constant balance between energy produced and consumed.

As an Innovation Specialist, you will perform the following activities:

  • Identify technological and market trends that support the definition of the Innovation strategy, the relevant technological domains for the Group, and the enhancement of the Group's intellectual property.
  • Ensure the execution of co-innovation projects with highly innovative entities offering ready-to-use solutions that meet business needs.
  • Contribute to the value creation phase for startups in the investment portfolio of Terna Forward S.r.l., by generating business opportunities outside the Group.
  • Draft "Innovation Fact Sheets" to promote the incubation of new System Innovation needs to contribute to the Innovation Plan.
  • Develop, update, and monitor the innovation roadmap of the System Operator through gap analysis of the current innovation initiative portfolio and interactions with other organizational units.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in STEM disciplines or Economics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and main digital tools relevant to the role.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Teamwork attitude and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, versatility, and results orientation.

 

The recruitment process will be extended to Rome, Milan and Turin.
