Project & Program Manager

Terna, the Italian transmission system operator (TSO), is committed to the ecological transition process. As a Project & Program Manager, you will perform the following activities:

  • Validating project alignment with technical standards and structural policies through the peer review process.
  • Conducting feasibility analyses for projects.
  • Supporting the progress of Strategic and Operational Plan.
  • Assisting the teams responsible for individual projects within the Program throughout all phases—from planning to execution—via monitoring and control processes.
  • Defining and monitoring requirements.
  • Assessing potential risks and issues within the managed Programs, identifying interdependencies between projects, analyzing and evaluating priorities, and promptly implementing corrective and/or risk mitigation actions.
  • Managing both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating collaboration among all involved units and/or external counterparts.
  • Periodically developing project progress reports.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in STEM disciplines or Economics.
  • Excellent skills in analyzing and modeling quantitative data.
  • Good knowledge of planning and control processes.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
  • Strong synthesis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, proactivity, teamwork and goal-oriented mindset, precision, and confidentiality.

Compensation Information

In accordance with Article 5, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree 96/2026, the Company discloses the information relating to the initial compensation foreseen for the position.

The position is associated with a gross annual salary level not lower than € 43.804,07, with the possibility of recognition up to € 50.000,00 based on experience, skills, and the complexity of the role.

The placement of the candidate within the range will be determined based on objective elements such as professional experience, technical and managerial competencies, and level of responsibility.

 Any remuneration above the indicated minimum threshold shall be granted exclusively on the basis of additional, objectively verifiable elements, such as, by way of example:

  • relevant and qualified professional experience;
  • specific technical or managerial competencies;
  • level of autonomy and responsibility effectively required by the role.

These elements are applied according to transparent and non-discriminatory criteria, in compliance with the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value.
