Project Engineer

Terna, the Italian transmission system operator (TSO), is committed to the ecological transition process. As a Project Engineer, you will perform the following activities:

  • Ensure engineering activities from the pre-feasibility phase to the "as-built" phase of the project.
  • Ensure the supervision of the executive project in compliance with the authorized project and related prescriptions, and in accordance with the reference technical specifications.
  • Prepare the necessary technical documentation for the procurement of goods and services during all phases of the project.
  • Ensure factory and on-site testing, and the related monitoring and control of all components and/or systems, and supervise the compliance of materials with reference specifications, recognized qualifications, the approved project, and their functional destination.
  • Ensure the commissioning phase, also through the definition of commissioning strategies.
  • Manage the interface with suppliers and contractors for the executive scheduling of activities and perform deviation control by implementing any corrective actions.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of software: Autocad, Word, Excel, Project.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, work organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team working skills and ability to manage priorities independently.

Compensation Information

In accordance with Article 5, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree 96/2026, the Company discloses the information relating to the initial compensation foreseen for the position.

The initial gross annual salary, not lower than € 38.145,83, is determined based on the level of responsibility and the competencies required, according to objective, verifiable, and gender-neutral criteria, and in line with the applicable National Collective Agreement (CCNL). 

Any remuneration above the indicated minimum threshold shall be granted exclusively on the basis of additional, objectively verifiable elements, such as, by way of example:

  • relevant and qualified professional experience;
  • specific technical or managerial competencies;
  • level of autonomy and responsibility effectively required by the role.

These elements are applied according to transparent and non-discriminatory criteria, in compliance with the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value.
