Terna is seeking candidates in the Digital Solutions area for the role of Cloud Infrastructure Specialist – Data & AI Platforms at its Rome facility.

Main activities:

• Working in synergy with the other corporate structures of Terna to roll out new functionalities in the SW Infrastructure Data and IIoT Platforms, in collaboration with the SSD-EHS-EMS structure;
• Ensuring compliance and potentially being able to suggest modifications to operating procedures for the management of the relevant infrastructure;
• Collecting and compiling requests for solutions and applications in Cloud environments;
• Guaranteeing the quality of the activities carried out;
• Defining the methods for installing — in the Testing environment — and rolling out — in the Operating environment — every application in the scope of the Data&Digital unit, in terms of both new functionalities and patch releases;

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience in corporate contexts on data analytics projects and cloud platform management;
• Working knowledge of at least one of the main cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP (deployment, PaaS services, networking, security);
• Architectural and problem-solving abilities: transforming business needs into technical solutions;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; willingness to work in inter-departmental teams;
• Good knowledge of English (reading and writing of a technical nature).

Desirable expertise:

• Three-year Degree (preferably a Master’s Degree) in Engineering (IT, Electrical, Telecommunications), IT, Mathematics, Physics or similar (STEM);
• Experience in the Telecom / Utilities / Manufacturing sectors;
• Experience on Cloudera and/or Informatica platforms; any related certifications;
• Familiarity with technologies and patterns for AI/ML and data pipelines;
• Cloud certifications (e.g. Azure/AWS/GCP Architect);
• Knowledge of IaC (Terraform, ARM/Bicep), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD (GitLab, Azure DevOps) and monitoring/observability tools;
• Knowledge of best practices regarding security (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST framework) and data protection regulations.
