Terna, the Italian national transmission grid (NTG) operator, is actively engaged in the process of ecological transition and—as director of the electricity system and enabler of the Twin Transition (energy transition and digital innovation)—has the task of developing a grid capable of managing the ever-increasing integration of renewables and enabling the progressive decarbonisation of the system, while constantly balancing energy produced and consumed.

Terna is seeking candidates for the role of Marine Environment Specialist, in the Project Development structure at its Rome office.
Main activities:
- Interacting with the project team throughout the project design, from feasibility studies to executive stages;
- Drafting technical-environmental analyses to localize and develop the works, concerning the marine field;
- Coordinating and setting up the environmental documents to launch the authorization processes for marine, lake and lagoon greenfield projects, and updating them in compliance with the integrations required by the relevant Bodies;
- Supporting the preparation of technical specifications to fulfil the tender calls regarding external professionals;
- Coordinating external suppliers for various environmental components;
- Managing technical meetings with Authorization Bodies;
- Analysing and complying with the environmental requirements set forth by the competent bodies during authorization procedures;
- Supporting and monitoring the construction sites from an environmental standpoint.
Necessary requirements
- Degree in technical-scientific areas, preferably in marine environments;
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience;
- Knowledge of English and/or French;
- Ability to work in a team with a proactive and dynamic approach to work.
- Knowledge of the GIS environment;
- Knowledge of environmental, waste management, wastewater and atmospheric emission regulations.
