Terna, the Italian national transmission grid (NTG) operator, is actively engaged in the process of ecological transition and—as director of the electricity system and enabler of the Twin Transition (energy transition and digital innovation)—has the task of developing a grid capable of managing the ever-increasing integration of renewables and enabling the progressive decarbonisation of the system, while constantly balancing energy produced and consumed.

Terna is seeking candidates in the Project Engineering and Execution Area, for the role of Site Assistant (IAC) at its Turin facility.

 

The candidate will support the Manager and other corporate functions in the strategic planning and development of the Group’s market business.

 

 

Main activities:

 

  • Verifying the correct management of the work site and execution of the works, in compliance with the company rules and regulations in order to guarantee the completion of the work in accordance with the required standards, and within the defined budget and schedules
  • Managing the construction site based on corporate procedures, through the company’s IT tools
  • Supporting the Project Leader (PL) and the project team in drafting reports and managing relations with other internal units and external suppliers
  • Monitoring and verifying the site’s compliance with environmental regulations, alongside the Works Director (WD)
  • Monitoring and verifying the site’s compliance with safety regulations, alongside the Execution Phase Safety Coordinator (ESC)
  • Drafting and editing the regular reporting of the status of the works and the accounts
  • Supporting the technical and administrative management of contracts/tenders/site services

 

Necessary requirements:

 

  • Educational qualification: Master’s/specialist degree or Bachelor’s degree or diploma (including in surveying), and a propensity for construction work
  • Good knowledge of English;
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience in the Construction field
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations (such as Legislative Decree 152/2006) and safety norms (such as Legislative Decree 81/2008)
  • Knowledge of the regulations concerning authorisation processes, public tenders and construction (such as Legislative Decree 239/2003, Legislative Decree 50/2016, Legislative Decree 36/2023 and Presidential Decree 380/2001)
  • Being able to define and monitor the KPIs

 

Desirable expertise:

 

  • Computer skills: project management programmes (e.g., Microsoft Project), SAP management software, Office suite, CAD modelling software (e.g. AutoCAD), and Google Maps/Earth.
  • Mobility: candidates should be open to national, international and intercontinental travel
